I would highly recommend this hotel...The value and resort-like quality for your money cannot be beat.
The staff hospitality puts this hotel well above and beyond any hotel at which I've ever stayed. Richie, the manager, took great care of us. We did not have a car during our 2-day stay. We simply put in a request at the front desk to use the free shuttle service for things like dinner and shopping. Richie recommended the Stonewood Grill & Tavern for dinner. (This was an excellent suggestion - great dinner.) He took us right to the door, and picked us up again when we were ready to return to the hotel. We felt like royalty being chauffeured! Richie also recommended shopping at the Shops at Wiregrass the next day. We set the time and he again chauffeured us. (Great advice again - the shops were like an outdoor mall, very pleasant.)
In addition to the convenient shuttle service, there were many little things that also set this hotel apart: Like offering Busch Gardens tips, offering free water bottles to us before dropping us off to shop, and giving us a free bottle of wine to enjoy for the night after dinner. I'm sure I'm forgetting more of the nice things Richie and the staff did for us.
The location of the hotel is great - off the busy road, quiet. The area is very nice and safe, with many restaurants, shopping, etc.
Our room was clean, roomy and quiet. The fridge in the room allowed us to have a lighter, cheaper snack type lunch. And also keep leftovers from dinner. TV is flat screen. Good water pressure in the bathroom. Clean bathroom. Comfortable bed.
The free breakfast was great, offering a big variety of both hot and cold items. There was also a manager's reception in the evening from 5-7p offering cheese/crackers, chips, bottled water, soda, beer and wine.
We used the fitness room a couple of times, and also the whirlpool. Both were clean and functional. The pool area outside was relaxing, clean and quiet.
I cannot say enough good things about this hotel - I would definitely stay at this hotel again if I'm in the area. It turned a great vacation into an amazing vacation!
